As a leading manufacturer of overhead material lifting systems and equipment, Engineered Lifting Systems (ELS) offers a wide selection of bridge cranes to suit many applications. Its lineup includes standard cranes to suit common spans, capacities and features. However, there are applications where standard designs aren’t a fit for a variety of reasons. ELS can help here, too. The company also specializes in custom-designed bridge cranes for applications with special requirements.

A customized solution

ELS has technical sales staff and designers with the expertise to customize cranes to suit any application. If low headroom is required, for example, a low profile design can be achieved. The team also has the experience and capability to create maximum hook height, a long span, a runout beam, custom cantilevers, a power rotating lower beam and a high capacity.

Determining the best design

When selecting the most appropriate design, it is important to understand the environmental factors the crane will be exposed to. Does the crane need to be explosion proof or spark resistant? Will it be exposed to the outdoors, or in environments where it will need to be washed down? Depending on the environment, certain component parts and design considerations are required to protect the bridge crane from damage.

ELS’ technical sales team will work with each customer to determine how to best customize the design to their specific needs. Each design is certified by an on-staff professional engineer licensed to comply with applicable regulatory codes and established engineering standards for mechanical, electrical and structural elements.

More information

Once design and fabrication of the custom solution is complete, the final product is installed by ELS' trained installation crew.
