The TT420 series of temperature sensors
Durham Instruments is the supplier to trust for the best and widest selection of test and measurement solutions, including many products manufactured by Electro-Sensors Inc. This company makes the innovative TT420 series of industrial temperature sensors, standard instruments that are designed to monitor temperature on a wide range of equipment.
Among the equipment with which the TT420 series works are conveyors, bearings, bucket elevators, motors, gearboxes, pumps, turbines, fans, curing ovens, centrifuges, agitators, tanks, and hammer mills.
Available in three models
These temperature sensors are perfectly compatible with standard two-wire 4-20mA current loops and analog inputs. Each instrument in this series blends a sensor, a signal conditioner, and a two-wire loop-powered 4-20mA transmitter together into a compact and rugged package. Electro-Sensors application specialists are willing to customize these units to fit specific requirements if they do not meet individual client specifications. Adapters and fittings are available as accessories.
Electro-Sensors makes three models of these temperature sensors. The TT420F model mounts onto any flat surface with a #10 machine screw, while the TT420S can screw into any surface with a ¼-inch 28 tap. The third option, the TT420Z, mounts into 1/8- or ¼-inch NPT grease-fitting (zerk) taps. The TT420 series has been approved to applicable standards by Underwriters Laboratories in the United States and Canada as intrinsically safe for use in Class I (Groups C and D) and II (Groups E, F, and G) when used with an approved I.S. barrier.
Among the common features of these three TT420 models:
The wide range of equipment on which these devices work makes them highly useful in a broad variety of sectors. Durham Instruments deems them suitable for use in the general manufacturing, aerospace, automation, food-processing, forestry, education, medical, military, mining, packaging, power-generation, alternative-energy, and transportation industries, and also in research and development.
