EXAIR’s 1/4 NPT Back Blow Air Nozzle, Model 1006SS, has been designed to effectively blow debris and liquids from pipe or hose inside diameters, channel, bores, holes, internal threads and other internal part features. The nozzle is safe and easy-to-use, offering many advantages to the user.

Nozzle features

The nozzle has an array of holes that provide a forceful 360-degree airflow to clear out coolant, chips and light oils from machining processes. Its design also prevents blowing chips further into a part, tube or pipe, and eliminates any safety hazard created by blowing debris out the far end of a pipe or tube.

Model 1006SS is manufactured with a small profile, and is compact enough to fit inside openings as small as ⅞ inches. Ideal for diameters up to four inches, the nozzle is constructed of type 316 stainless steel to provide durability and corrosion resistance. Installation is simplified and a secure fit is assured with ⅝-inch flats milled on the body.

The unit’s sound level is low at 80 dBA, meeting OSHA noise requirement 29 CFR 1910.95(a), as well as being CE compliant.

Nozzle options

Since airflow is directed back toward the operator, personal protective equipment is recommended. Chip shields to protect the operator from the exiting debris are available. In addition, extension pipes from 12 to 72 inches are stocked to provide necessary reach for longer tube and pipe clean out.

Additional details

Back blow air nozzles are available in two other models, in addition to 1006SS. Model 1008SS is the company’s largest back blow nozzle, and can handle both small and large diameters up to 16 inches. Model 1004SS, on the other hand, is for smaller inside diameters up to one inch.
