A versatile instrument, this power analyzer is ideal for many important applications, especially motor testing and electrification. The eDrive provides unique data-acquisition and -analysis capabilities in addition to power measurement, unlike standard power analyzers. It offers simple measurement setup, as an integrated system instead of a blend of various units. HBM modular power analyzers are recommended for any electrification test for three-phase and multi-channel tasks, such as six-phase machines and hybrid or multi-motor drives.
This instrument has two main aspects – a high-accuracy power analyzer and a high-performance data-acquisition system. The former measures and calculates electric signals and power in real time on up to 51 channels, plus mechanical power with up to six torque/speed signals and a typical base power accuracy of 0.02 per cent. The latter provides synchronous, constant recording of electrical signals, torque, speed, temperature, acceleration, and CANbus, plus real-time or post-process analyses for result verification, mappings, or advanced analysis such as NVH and electrical correlations.
