Digital Measurement Metrology (DMM) offers an economical and easy-to-use force testing system. Its manual force testing system includes a data logging force gauge, a manual test stand and a selection of grips. These products work together to make force measurement simple and affordable.

Manual test stand and grips

Designed for tensile and compression force testing, the Shimana SHPMTS209 test stand can work with Shimana force gauges for both push and pull tests up to 1000N (100 kgf/220 lbf). The compact and economical stand offers stable resolution and excellent positional accuracy thanks to its hand wheel, which enables users to better control speed. This stand can be used in either vertical or horizontal positions.

A wide variety of grips and fixtures are also available for use with this system, including Shimana upper-lower grips, which can be used for a multitude of force measuring applications up to 5000N.

Data logging force gauge

Shimana data logging push-pull digital force gauges come in four different models, each loaded with functionality to simplify compression and tension testing needs, while offering accuracy that’s within ±0.2 per cent of the full-scale reading. These high-tech instruments can easily log a reading at the push of a button, or be set to continuous data storage. Users are able to program high and low limits into these gauges, which offer a quick visual and audible indication if a test passed or failed. This indication is easily seen on each unit’s large, LCD, backlit, 180-degree auto-reversible display. It can also be sent to the optional printer, or loaded to be analyzed and graphed on the free software program. The 1,000-point memory with definable groups allows for multiple tests to be recorded and easily separated upon loading. In addition, the gauges feature a robust and durable construction.
