Dynamix MMX light-duty clamp mount adds flexibility to open-drum applications

York Fluid Controls Ltd. offers a variety of fluid-handling solutions by Dynamix, including the MMX series of light-duty clamp mounts. Designed specifically for open-drum applications, the MMX series allows the user to mount a mixer directly onto the side of any small tank or drum and lock it at various angles.

Available with single or dual four- or five-inch marine propellers, this clamp mount from York Fluid Controls offers a flexibility that lets workers address any dead spots that could affect demanding applications.

Each model in the MMX series of light-duty clamp mounts has an indexed pivot, which enables locking at different angles, and it attaches the mixer securely to the drum or tank for angled mixing. Other features include a propeller (four to five inches) and an impeller (fixed at nine inches), of which the latter is highly efficient and offers 30 per cent more mixing capacity than a standard impeller does. York Fluid Controls carries a wide range of mixers that can be used with this mount, with air motors from 1½ to four in horsepower or electric motors from ½ to one horsepower.

Gear and direct drive options are available for MMX clamp mounts, with five-to-one gear reduction for mixing at lower speeds with substantial torque available for gear drives. Electric-drive clamp mounts are recommended for low- or medium-viscosity tasks; three models of electric drives are available, each with a shaft diameter of ¾. The MMX-11050-C and MMX-1110D-C direct drives are both capable of a speed of 1,750 revolutions per minute (RPM) and have a shaft length of 28, while the MMX-1305G-C gear drive has a speed of 350 RPM and a shaft length of 26.

Also for low- or medium-viscosity applications, York Fluid Controls also offers two models of an air drive, each capable of a speed of 1,750 RPM and with a shaft diameter of ¾. The MMX-1215D-C model has a shaft length of 28, while the MMX-1230G-C has a shaft length of 26.
