industrial accelerometers

Some of the accelerometers available from Durham.

Canadian manufacturers turn to Durham Instruments for an unmatched selection of test and measurement devices – including dozens of models of industrial accelerometers. These units are used to capture vibration data from test articles under different dynamic load cases. Customers can choose from a broad array of accelerometers for such applications as drop testing, material-properties investigation, seismic tasks, or monitoring blast and high-shock events. With appropriate accelerometer technology, users can conduct machine and structural monitoring or various modal analysis systems.

Angular devices and more

Durham Instruments offers angular accelerometers produced by Jewell Instruments, in addition to many different models manufactured by Brüel & Kjær. With such a lineup, the company can find the proper solution for any unique customer application.

Jewell makes three distinct types of angular accelerometers: the ASB series, general-purpose devices primarily for industrial, commercial, and aerospace sensing requirements; the ASM series, designed to minimize thermal errors associated with outdoor applications; and the ASXC series of force-balanced servo accelerometers frequently used for military and aviation flight controls. Durham Instruments also distributes the following industrial accelerometers by Brüel & Kjær:

  • Type 4321. Triaxial piezoelectric charge accelerometer for general-purpose vibration measurement.
  • Type 4326-A. Miniature triaxial piezoelectric charge device for simultaneous high-level measurements in three mutually perpendicular directions.
  • Type 4370. Piezoelectric charge accelerometer for general-purpose vibration measurement.
  • Type 4371. Piezoelectric charge device designed for high-sensitivity, high-frequency vibration.
  • Type 4374. Miniature piezoelectric charge accelerometer for high-level, high-frequency measurements in confined spaces.
  • Type 4375. Series of sub-miniature piezoelectric charge industrial accelerometers, also for high-frequency measurement in confined spaces.
  • Type 4381. Piezoelectric charge device for general-purpose, low-frequency tasks.
  • Type 4392. Hand-arm vibration transducer set for measuring whole-body vibration, recommended for field and laboratory applications.
  • Type 4394. Miniature piezoelectric CCLD accelerometer for measurements on lightweight structures with relative high-level, high-frequency vibrations.
  • Type 4500-A. Piezoelectric cubic charge accelerometer for general-purpose multi-axis vibration and shock measurement on low-mass structures and in confined spaces.

Many other accelerometer options are available from Brüel & Kjær, including high-temperature and underwater devices, as well as options with DC response.
