The U86B pressure sensor is a small profile, media compatible, piezoresistive silicon unit packaged in a 316L stainless steel housing. The sensor, from Measurement Specialties, is designed for o-ring mounting in high-performance, low-pressure applications.

The sensing package utilizes silicone oil to transfer pressure from the 316L stainless steel diaphragm to the sensing element. A custom ASIC is used for temperature compensation, offset correction and provides an amplified output of 0.5 to 4.5 volts. CE-approved and manufactured to TS16949 standards, this model may also come with a cable if desired.

For a similar sensor without plastic housing, the 86A pressure sensor is available. For a unit with a plastic threaded fitting, the LM pressure transducer is offered.

The sensors are available from Durham Instruments, a provider of measuring instruments based in Pickering, Ont. With more than 30 years of experience in the instrumentation field, Durham Instruments offers expert solutions for any measuring problem. The company’s instrument specialists are geared with the right tools and knowledge to assess customer needs — from pressure, to displacement, to acceleration and more.

By only partnering with the best suppliers, Durham Instruments ensures each instrument to be the most reliable, accurate and durable in the market. To learn more about the U86B or 86A pressure sensors, or the LM pressure transducer, contact Durham Instruments
