When operations require the spraying of any type of liquid for painting, coating, rinsing, cooling, quenching, moistening or dust control, post-spray liquid flow can cause big problems. Unwanted drips can ruin product function on sealing or mating surfaces, and damage the appearance of painted or coated finishes. In addition, excess liquid flow wastes precious resources, such as expensive coatings, chemicals or water. EXAIR’s No Drip Atomizing Nozzles can solve this costly problem.

How it works

Siphon-fed atomizing spray nozzles don’t require any liquid pressure. They can be used with gravity-fed liquids or lift liquids from a siphon height as much as 36 inches (91 centimetres). Siphon-fed nozzles can be used on liquids up to 200 centipoise.

EXAIR’s No Drip Siphon-Fed Atomizing Spray Nozzles work in the same way as the company’s standard atomizing nozzles, but they have the added benefit of positively stopping liquid flow when compressed air is shut off. The nozzle seals off the flow of liquid, eliminating the possibility of drips.

Nozzle details

EXAIR’s No Drip Siphon-Fed Atomizing Nozzles are designed for non-pressurized liquid applications that don’t require independent air and liquid control. They feature a no drip mechanism, and have interchangeable liquid and air caps. The CE-compliant and conflict mineral free nozzles are available in a round pattern (four models) for those applications where a thin coating is needed in a specific area, or a flat fan pattern (three models), where a thin coating is needed over a wide band.

Additional information

The no drip atomizing nozzles are also available in internal mix and external mix varieties. Internal mix nozzles mix the liquid and water inside the air cap to produce the finest atomization. They are designed for pressure-fed applications that don’t require independent air and liquid control. External mix nozzles, on the other hand, have the highest flow rates, and allow the air and liquid flows to be adjusted independently. They are designed for pressure-fed applications that require independent air and liquid control.
