disc springs

Daemar distributes three main categories of disc springs.

Daemar Inc. remains Canada’s premier industrial source for essential components, including components for retaining purposes. From tapered and spiral retaining rings to constant sections and wave springs, Daemar has something for every relevant application. Another retaining product that the company supplies is disc springs – all of which meet high European standards for quality.

Available in multiple sizes for various applications, these disc springs are most recommended for use with actuators, ball valves, and windmills. In addition to standard disc springs, Daemar can supply customized ones for specific tasks.

Including strong corrosion protection

Daemar carries a standard product range of disc springs, the DIN 2093 Metric Series, which consists of 254 products in 246 sizes with outside diameters ranging from six and 250 millimetres (mm) and inner diameters from 3.2 to 127 mm. Manufactured from Ck 67 and 50 CrV 4, they have a standard corrosion protection of zinc phosphating and oiling. Springs that are at least 0.5 mm thick are shot-peened to increase their fatigue life. Bolt size ranges from three to 125 mm.

Another variation of disc springs available from Daemar is its DIN 6796 Series of Belleville washers. These components have been designed to preload bolts, but not for applications with dynamic loads. Like the DIN 2093 Series, heavy-duty Belleville washers (also known as conical washers) are manufactured from Ck 67 and 50 CrV 4. Bolt sizes range from two to 30 mm; outer diameters go from five to 69.85 mm; and inner diameters range from 2.21 to 30.99 mm.

Finally, Daemar distributes DMR Belleville springs, which produce high loads when they are deflected to their flat positions. This deflection lowers the spring rate of the bolted system significantly, which reduces the change in the bolt’s preload and therefore prevents leaks through the joint. DMR Belleville springs are most suitable for live loading of flange joints and valve steam packing gland applications. Types include springs with bolt stress of 30,000, 45,000, or 60,000 pounds and with PH 17-7 PH material.

Disc springs are available pre-assembled in stacks or on a guiding device.
