The T12 digital torque flange, from HBM and available through Pickering, Ont.-based Durham Instruments, is the new benchmark for accuracy, safety and flexibility when measuring torque.

It’s a complete measurement system in a single transducer, allowing customers to save additional costs for separate electronics and software components. And it provides quick and accurate results using TEDS or the direct fieldbus link for connecting the T12 torque transducer in minutes, saving customers time.

The flange uses modern fieldbus systems (CANopen, PROFIBUS DPV1) for connecting directly to a customer’s PLC automation system. It provides a frequency and analog output and, therefore, is also optimally fit for use with conventional technologies.

Another bonus: The T12 comes with software for setting up and analyzing measurements.

Special features include:

  • Nominal torques ranging from 100 Nm to 10 kNm;
  • Nominal rotational speeds from 10,000 rpm to 18,000 rpm;
  • A large measurement frequency range up to six kHz;
  • Fast digital measurement signal transmission of 4,800 measured values/s;
  • A high resolution of 19 bits;
  • Monitoring functions; and
  • Many options.
