IBIS carries 18 models of Dietz high-pressure sensors.

IBIS Electro-Products Corp. is trusted by many Canadian businesses for its wide range of sensors – especially those manufactured by Dietz Sensortechnik. The lineup includes more than a dozen models of Dietz high-pressure inductive sensors. These are well-constructed instruments specially designed for precise position sensing under high pressure. Produced with full metal constructions that offer high peak-pressure immunity and two specialized technologies, these sensors survive even in the harshest work environments.

For automation, machinery, and more

Dietz makes these high-pressure instruments with technologies that result in a permanent pressure-resistance level of up to 14,503 pounds per square inch (psi), while sensors for pressures of up to 7,251 psi use traditional ceramic sealing to separate both the ferrite/coil combination and the evaluation electronics from the pressure-facing section of the housing. This is why Dietz constructs the housing of these inductive sensors out of one continuous piece of stainless steel, and that includes the sensing face. Another advantage is that most of these sensors are available with built-in LED indicators to make mechanical setup simpler.

These inductive sensors are versatile devices, and IBIS recommends them for several common industrial applications. Examples include a wide variety of hydraulic cylinder and valve tasks, end stop checks on hydraulic cylinders, monitoring of valve positions, and many applications in automation, machinery, and automotive assembly. They are also highly useful in situations that expose high-pressure sensors to hostile environments and make them subject to pressures that would be too high for any standard sensor.

Eighteen models of Dietz high-pressure sensors are available from IBIS, with lengths of either 65 or 79 millimetres (mm) and different types of connection. All of them are silver in colour, and each weighs only 100 grams. The standard sensing distance is three mm. All of these devices use self-contained, compact, inductive-sensor technology, while sensor output varies between PNP/NO and PNP/NC. Other benefits include a wide operating temperature range, shielded standard sensing, and protection against short circuit, polarity, and overload.

High-pressure inductive sensors make up just one category of Dietz instruments available from IBIS, to meet any relevant application.
