The Destuff-IT line of products are ergonomic lift assists designed to help workers tasked with manually loading and unloading goods in trailers and containers. By optimizing a worker’s positioning to the box wall inside a container, users experience faster unload times with fewer injuries. Reductions in man hours

One Destuff-IT customer found that by adding a unit to their inbound docks, the number of man hours required for standard offloading jobs decreased by more than half. When using a Destuff-IT, although the company increased the average number of employees per task from 2.7 to 3.7, the average number of man hours per job fell dramatically from 11.1 to only 4.8 – a difference of 57 per cent.

In addition, the average number of cases handled per hour shot up from 677 to 1,540. This meant an increase in average cases per man hour from 283 to 402, or an improvement of 42 per cent.

Other Destuff-IT users have realized both time and cost savings. A plumbing-supply company saw their average offloading job reduced from five hours to two hours, translating into a decrease from 15 to eight man hours per task. With the cost to unload each container being reduced by nearly half, the company recognized an annual savings of $71,400. And a small-appliance manufacturer saved more than $100,000 per year after investing in a Destuff-IT unit after reducing its average number of man hours per task by more than half.

Similarly, a liquidator reduced its average number of man hours per offloading job from 18 to 7.64. This client saw a cost savings of nearly $320,000 per year, thanks to the introduction of their Destuff-IT.
