DESTACO Pneumatic Power Clamps, available from Wainbee

Workplace accidents are always a problem, especially in factories and any other work environment that relies on machinery. That is why Wainbee Limited has introduced its line of Machine Safety products – a group of industrial products designed to make work safer and minimize the potential for injuries.

One of these products is DESTACO’s Pneumatic Power Clamps, available in ten different designs for various applications, including welding, assembly, machining, and duty cycles.

Holding in position

In many industrial tasks, an amount of force is required to keep a work piece in place while a worker alters it in some way. Clamps are necessary for this, keeping the pieces still and preventing them from moving or shifting, which could prove dangerous for the worker.

DESTACO Pneumatic Power Clamps are made for harsh welding environments that require clamping strength above and beyond that of ordinary clamps. They are designed to be reliable, durable, precise, and long-lasting. Not only do they hold pieces securely, they also have pivot units that enable the user to tip, dump and rotate parts and tools into more comfortable and convenient positions.

Among the variations available:

  • 81L – Aluminum and weighing less than two kilograms (kg), with a piston diameter of less than 25 millimetres (mm); perfect for assembly and end effectors, and also useful for machining
  • 82L-4 – Similar to the 81L in torque, material and weight, but with a piston diameter of 25 mm or less; recommended for welding, assembly, end effectors, and machining; features include adjustable opening angles, inductive sensors, centre and lateral arms, and toggle locking
  • 82M-3E – Piston diameter ranging from 40 to 80 mm, with a weight of four kg or less; similar applications and features as the 82L-4
  • 1000/1001 – Made of steel, with a piston diameter of 63 or 80 mm and weighing more than eight kg; excellent for assembly and machining, with centre arm and toggle locking
  • 82D – Aluminum, with a diameter of 40 or 63 mm and weight of two to six kg; recommended for welding, assembly, machining, and duty cycles, with inductive sensors, dual arms, and toggle locking
