Wainbee Limited offers a selection of Des-Case solutions, including the manufacturer’s unique drum filter cart. An ideal fluid-handling option, this cart is recommended for pre-cleaning, protecting, and transferring oil from a conveniently attachable, secured drum. For complete contamination control, the cart comes with a drum adapter kit with a desiccant breather.

Among the applications for which this cart from Des-Case is perfect are decontaminating systems, flushing new or repaired systems, and dispensing oil.

Collecting oil samples for analysis

The Des-Case drum filter cart is suitable for filtering mineral-based industrial oils and most synthetic oils, with a maximum operating viscosity range of ISO VG 680 (3,000 ssu/648 cSt) at 38 degrees Celsius within an ambient temperature range of -26 to 66 degrees Celsius. Other common uses for this cart from Wainbee: pre-filtering new oil; evacuating used oil; topping off reservoirs; and collecting oil samples for analysis.

The cart includes a carbon steel frame, industrial powder-coated paint, aluminum filter heads, zinc-plated steel and/or brass fittings, aluminum and steel pumps, clear PVC hoses with steel wires or hydraulic hoses, and a Buna-N gasket. The filter indicator pops at 22 psid to warn the user that filter elements require replacement, while the pump relief opens at 65 pounds per square inch. The unit measures 30 by 24¾ by 57.85 inches and weighs approximately 175-to-250 pounds without the drum, depending on the options selected.

Other standard features of this drum filter cart: an automatic pressure-relief valve; dual-stage filtration; 12-foot hose assemblies with various quick-connect options; a rugged, powder-coated dolly with a plastic, removable drip pan; adjustable, heavy-duty straps with spring-loaded clips to secure the drum; a remote-mounted power switch; casters for easier mobility; and a mating colour-coded drum adapter kit for simple connection. Des-Case offers a one-year warranty for this solution.

The manufacturer is willing and able to customize the drum filter cart for specific applications. Among the features that can be adapted for varying scenarios are flow rates, the filter bypass, sample valves, the Y-strainer, the colour, hose-end connection sizes and types, and the micron rating of the filters.
