Denso paste and primers offer reliable protection in difficult environments

Denso's anti-corrosion and sealing products have a reputation for reliability — consistently meeting its customers’ corrosion prevention and sealing needs. Among its lineup of proven products are Denso paste and primers, which contain moisture-displacing, corrosion-inhibiting compounds, making them easy to apply by hand or brush.

The lineup, which should be used in conjunction with petrolatum tape and SeaShield Marine corrosion control systems, includes: 

• Denso Paste (petrolatum tape primer) is used prior to the application of Denso petrolatum tapes. It penetrates existing rust, displaces moisture, pacifies the surface and aids in the adhesion of petrolatum tapes and mastics. It is also used as a temporary coating for exposed metal.
• Denso Paste S105 (wet/underwater petrolatum tape primer) is used as a primer for damp or wet surfaces before applying Denso petrolatum tapes. It penetrates existing rust, displaces moisture, pacifies the surface and aids in adhesion. It is particularly effective under water or on wet metal surfaces.
• Denso Paste HT (high temperature paste/primer) is a soft petrolatum paste containing moisture-displacing, corrosion-inhibiting compounds. Ideal for high temperature applications up to 375 degrees F, the paste does not dry, harden or crack, and is typically used on steel surfaces. Water, oxygen and other corrosive materials cannot penetrate the gel structure of the paste. Denso Paste HT can also be used as a temporary coating for exposed metal.
• Denso Hi-Tack Primer (Hi-Tack petrolatum tape primer) is used on structural steel members where additional adhesive qualities are required before applying Denso Hi-Tack tape. It is typically used on irregularly shaped surfaces or where additional adhesive qualities are required. Denso Hi-Tack Primer will penetrate existing rust, displace moisture and aid in the adhesion of petrolatum tapes.
• Denso Primer D (Bitumen tape primer) dries quickly on all surfaces before applying Denso bitumen-based tapes. It penetrates existing rust, displaces moisture, pacifies the surface and aids in adhesion. 
• Denso Butyl Primer (Butyl tape primer) dries quickly on all surfaces prior to the application of Denso butyl-based tapes. It penetrates existing rust, pacifies the surface and aids in adhesion.
