Durham Instruments can supply the SomatXR CX23-R data acquisition system from HBM. This rugged unit features a web interface, enabling users to perform data acquisition and analysis whenever and wherever required — an advanced feature that distinguishes the data recorder from others in its class.

Convenient access to data anywhere

The unit’s secure web-based user interface enables convenient channel parameterization, monitoring of measurement jobs and visualization of measured data far away from the measuring point. It is available with an internal memory of 16 or 64 gigabytes.

Flexible, modular and expandable

The SomatXR CX23-R ensures flexibility and scalability thanks to its interfaces and ports. For example, it features a DIO interface with three digital inputs and two digital outputs; a GPS interface for connecting a GPS receiver; three CAN interfaces (ISO 11898, CAN 2.0A and 2.0B); two Ethernet ports for connection to other SomatXR modules; and an Ethernet host port for connecting a PC with an up-to-date web browser.

Smart data handling

The CX23-R data recorder is the central module of the rugged SomatXR family. It synchronizes all connected measurement modules with Ethernet PTPv2, stores recorded measurement data and provides computed channels and smart data compression using Somat DataModes. It provides time history, time-at-level (one-dimensional), and burst history with pre- and post-trigger times.

Rugged construction

This rugged, mobile data acquisition is waterproof, dustproof and shockproof. It has the capability to operate in temperatures from -40 to 80 degrees C.

Additional details

The SomatXR family also includes the SomatXR EX23-R Ethernet switch, which is designed to connect SomatXR modules and accessories. It also enables up to nine measurement modules to be connected to the CX23-R field recorder or a PC via Ethernet cable.

A selection of amplifiers are also part of the SomatXR family. The MX1601B-R amplifier, for example, is a compact, easy-to-integrate unit featuring 16 individually configurable channels for active sensors. The SomatXR MX1609KB-R amplifier, on the other hand, is the ultra-rugged thermo model for use in harsh environments.
