DMR Protech seals are available from Daemar.

Among the unmatched range and diversity of essential components for industry that Daemar Inc. offers is a broad variety of shaft seals. These units give engineers not only the high levels of quality and performance that they need, but also a high level of savings in terms of cost of ownership.

For example, DMR Protech seals comprise a line of bearing isolators that is designed to protect bearings without any lubricant leakage to the atmosphere – and with complete exclusion of contaminants from the housing.

Unique technology for bearing protection

Even a small level of dirt or water can substantially reduce the operational lifespans of bearings. While lip seals are designed to keep all lubricants in, they sometimes fail to stop contaminants from entering as well. Daemar’s Protech bearing isolators offer a far more dependable solution, since they are constructed from a unique technology for total bearing protection, which results from years of development.

Protech seals are based on a unique, simple, unitized, two-piece design that is usually made in chemical-resistant PTFE. The Protech product lineup includes a full range of complementary designs that provide top performance in a variety of tasks. The Daemar team offers 14 unique variations, such as Types FS and FN, which are ideal for applications with pressurized, flooded, or sealing bearing housings. Both kinds of isolators have internal lip seals, which improve their ability to keep contaminants out and prevent leakage.

These shaft seals are made of high-grade PTFE composites, which means they can perform a broad range of operating abilities, including applications in extreme temperatures or chemical environments. They are frequently used as substitutes for existing sealing devices, which no change in equipment necessary. Alternate PTFE fillers make them useful in the food-processing and pharmaceutical sectors, and they can extend machinery life in the mining, pulp and paper, and oil and gas industries too.

Daemar has the widest inventory of shaft seals in the country, supplying many other models of these products in addition to its Protech bearing isolators. Among the major examples are V-rings, end covers, and sanitary gaskets.
