fibre lube bushings

Fibre lube bushings are among Daemar's offerings.

Essential components for industry: this is what Daemar Inc. has provided for manufacturers for more than 45 years, and the company offers a broad portfolio for a variety of industries. The lineup includes seals, retaining rings, springs, caps, plugs, shim rolls, and much more. Another popular item is fibre lube bushings. These composite bushings are recommended for long-term, highly loaded applications, offering a number of unique advantages for users.

Low friction values and more

Daemar’s fibre lube bushings benefit users with low friction values and corrosion resistance, and they allow true self-lubrication. The company supplies three different series: the CJ/FCJ, MRP, and HT lines.

The CJ/FCJ series consists of rugged bushings best suited for non-lubricated, high-load applications in many different climates and operating environments. They exhibit a high load capacity not unlike those of bronze, powdered metal, and steel. This series also has a longer life with less wear, minus the cost of lubrication. These bushings can also tolerate mild shaft realignment without stressing the ends too much, while they absorb shocks.

Daemar recommends FCJ bushings for material-handling equipment, packaging machinery, farm implements, marine pivots, robotics, business machines, and amusement-park rides. The CJ line is popular with backhoes, front-end loaders, hitches, graders, mining equipment, vending machines, and nuclear plants.

The MRP series of fibre lube bushings are made to meet the needs of contemporary design engineers. These workers require components with long life cycles and sufficient strength for strenuous tasks. The composite bearing materials can last more than 1.6 million cycles with less than 0.005 of an inch in wear. These bushings are perfect for material-handling equipment, high-duty cranes, earth-moving equipment, construction equipment, agriculture equipment, and food-processing systems.

The third type, HT, comprises high-load, low-RPM bushings for applications requiring self-lubrication, but at temperatures too high for conventional composite bushings. These components can take heat of up to 230 degrees Celsius. They are ideal for tasks at very high temperatures, as well as ones requiring the strength to resist thermal expansion. A key example is snowmobile clutches, which have speeds that tend to accelerate in microseconds.
