Daemar manages the sourcing and delivery of millions of essential components, including masking tapes, wraps and discs, to the manufacturing and MRO marketplace. Founded more than 40 years ago, the Toronto-based company has the expertise to help its customers find the right solution, because it knows that proper tape selection ensures the best coverage and reduces unnecessary costs.

When it comes to tape, the company’s advice is simple: choose a material that can survive the coating process and be cleanly removed after the coating process. Daemar supplies tapes that can be quickly die-cut to speed up their application, eliminating the need for razors. The company also offers high temp tape for powder coating, e-coating and other high temperature applications.

The Caplugs/Shercon product line includes:

  • MDG Series Green Polyester Masking Discs feature a two-ml polyester film backing with a 1.5-ml silicone adhesive that offers a superior resiliency at temperatures up to 204 degrees C. The discs are ideal for powder coating, electroplating, chrome plating, anodizing and solder wave applications.
  • MDK Series Masking Discs have a Kapton polyimide film backing that will withstand temperatures up to 260 degrees C. The discs are ideal for powder coating, electroplating, chrome plating, anodizing and solder wave applications.
  • MTB Series Blue Polyester Masking Tape, a 0.75-ml polyester film with a 2.25-ml adhesive, is ideal for masking curved surfaces.
  • MTK Series Kapton Gold Film Tape features a Kapton polyimide film backing, and can withstand temperatures up to 260 degrees C.

This is just a sampling of the tape, wraps and discs available from Daemar. To learn more about the Caplugs/Shercon product line or any of its other offerings, contact Daemar. The company has a network of four strategically located stocking facilities in Toronto, Edmonton, Montreal and Atlanta, Ga., to serve the North American marketplace.
