PTFE energized seals, from Daemar, are designed for applications where ultra-low friction, chemical compatibility, long life and extreme temperature performance are required. 

The energizing springs, which help to maintain and enhance sealing forces, are available with either steel spring or rubber energizers.

Spring energized seals, for example, can be used for applications requiring high sealing efficiency. They consist of u-shaped rings and stainless steel energizing springs, and feature low friction with no stick-slip, minimal break-out force, high wear-resistance, and unlimited shelf life. They are available in designs for rod or pistons, subject to either static or dynamic applications.

Rubber (elastomeric) energized seals, on the other hand, incorporate o-rings or square section rings in a selection of materials as required by the application. All seals are available in piston or rod sealing configuration.

PTFE energized seals come in a wide range of temperatures and pressures, with almost unlimited chemical compatibility. Standard seals can be used at pressures up to 3,000 psi, while custom seals can be used at pressures up to 60,000 psi.

A broad range of seal profiles are available for a variety of applications, from oil field equipment actuators, pumps, cryo coolers, aircraft engines and brake systems, to chemical pumps, compressors, mechanical seals and drones.
