lube bushings

Fibre lube bushings offer low friction values and corrosion resistance to users.

For nearly half a century, Daemar Inc. has been Canada’s ultimate source of essential components for industry. The company offers an unsurpassed lineup of products for a broad range of sectors, like seals, retaining, springs, caps, plugs, shim rolls, and other options. Fibre lube bushings are another popular item Daemar offers.

Recommended for use in long-term, highly loaded applications, these composite bushings give users many unique benefits and advantages.

Corrosion resistance and self-lubrication

Fibre lube bushings offer low friction values and corrosion resistance to users, and they also enable true self-lubrication. Daemar can supply three distinct lines – the CJ/FCJ, MRP, and HT series.

Most suitable for non-lubricated, high-load applications in a diverse range of climates and operating environments, the CJ/FCJ series exhibits a high load capacity similar to those of bronze, powdered metal, and steel. These bushings also have longer operational life with less wear, minus the cost of lubrication, and they can also tolerate mild shaft realignment without stressing the ends excessively. Shock absorption is another advantage.

The FCJ series is recommended for material-handling equipment, packaging machinery, farm implements, marine pivots, robotics, business machines, and rides at amusement parks. Daemar deems the CJ line suitable for backhoes, front-end loaders, hitches, graders, mining equipment, vending machines, and nuclear plants.

Contemporary design engineers rely on components with long life cycles and sufficient strength for strenuous applications, so the MRP series of fibre lube bushings are built to satisfy their needs. The composite bearing materials can last for more than 1.6 million cycles with wear of less than 0.005 of an inch. These bushings are ideal for material-handling equipment, high-duty cranes, earth-moving equipment, construction equipment, agriculture equipment, and food-processing systems.

The HT series includes high-load, low-RPM bushings for tasks needing self-lubrication, but at temperatures too high for standard composite bushings. These components can withstand heat of up to 230 degrees Celsius and are perfect for applications with extremely high temperatures, in addition to ones needing the strength to resist thermal expansion. Snowmobile clutches, which have speeds that tend to accelerate in microseconds, are a key example.
