For manufacturing and transportation stages

Flange protectors are typically used during manufacturing and transportation stages of production, as flanges are vulnerable to corrosive elements or damage during these processes. In addition, Daemar recommends these units for painting and other low-temperature finishing applications, since they can serve as masking components and protect the surfaces.

DMR disc-style flange protectors are built to cover the full face of a flange. They are made of corrugated plastic, high-density polyethylene (HDPE), MDF, or plywood, and Daemar offers an inventory suitable for most standard flange designs. Custom sizes can be fabricated to accommodate unique specifications: units can be cut to any size in any class series from 150# to 20,000#, with sizes ranging from ½ an inch to 42 inches. Among the standard series of flange protectors available from Daemar:

• FCM series. With MDF cut to the outer diameter (OD) of the flange.
• FCP series. Corrugated plastic cut to the OD of the flange.
• FCB series. HDPE plastic cut to the OD of the flange.
• FCW series. Plywood cut to the OD of the flange.

Each of these designs also has four bolt holes.
