Custom solutions bring clean air to N.R. Murphy customers

N.R. Murphy has solved thousands of challenging industrial dust problems for customers across Canada over the last 70-plus years. • One customer was having issues with dust being created by drilling in a mining operation. N.R. Murphy custom designed a skid-mounted dust collector that could be towed behind the drill rig to capture the dust, creating a safer and cleaner work environment for employees on site. 
• Another client was mixing batches of product that involved cutting and dumping bags into a mixer — a process that created dust that was a concern for both the employer and the employees. N.R. Murphy created a self-contained bag dumping station unit with an integrated fan that provided effective dust control.
• A customer in the woodworking industry was experiencing rapid growth and needed to relocate, increase its machine capacity and double the size of its dust collection system — all while maintaining its production schedule. N.R. Murphy, which had already provided a single model MKF dust collector for this operation, fabricated and installed a “twin” system at the customer’s new facility, with a stand that would accommodate the company’s existing dust collector when the equipment was relocated. 
• Another customer was spending most of its maintenance budget on replacement filters for its in-plant mobile equipment. N.R. Murphy designed and fabricated a filter cleaning cartridge style dust collector that extended the life of the filters and provided significant savings for the customer.
