Custom expansion joint by HOLZ eliminates drip-tray corrosion for manufacturer

The fencing company was using two electro polishing tanks to remove burrs and polish metal parts while polishing fence posts. The sulfuric acid solution was causing corrosion on the drip trays, which resulted in unnecessary downtime and a need to replace the trays prematurely.

After examining the situation, the HOLZ team produced a three-sided, custom built expansion joint to connect the pair of electro polishing tanks. This joint was designed specifically to contain the sulfuric acid solution and do away with the need for replacing the drip trays so frequently.

The fencing company put this custom built expansion joint to work right away, and the results were above any beyond what they had hoped for. Drip-tray corrosion became an issue of the past in the electro polishing process, and the expansion joint is still doing its job, containing the sulfuric acid solution.
