Dobco carries the CP86 nutrunner line.

Chicago Pneumatic, or CP, offers a wide selection of power tools that are available in Canada from Dobco Equipment Ltd. Last year, the CP team developed and launched the CP86 series of battery nutrunners for the energy and heavy-equipment industries: perfect for demanding businesses that need high precision, repeatability, and mobility.

Every innovative battery nutrunner in this CP series can reach 8,100 newton metres of torque, which is among the highest levels in the bolting market.

Three levels of features

A key feature of this tool is its exclusive, compact, long-lasting battery, which allows longer operation than similar tools do. The standard model can run 250 cycles before the battery needs changing. CP has  designed a dedicated application with the user in mind, CPLinQ, that helps increase productivity for managers who desire more control and quality process in the field. This app is available on iOS and Android.

Dobco carries four models in this nutrunner series, all with three levels of features: the CP8613, CP8626, CP8641, and CP8681. The standard CP86XX model provides torque control and an automatic release reaction arm. The CP86XXC adds angle control, an app library, tool-status management, a maintenance timeline, an operating alert, and a tool lock and finder. From the CP86XXCQ, users can also get data collection, quick report, a counting sequence, and an app report through e-mail or another communication app with a CSV file.

These battery nutrunners provide extended mobility and precision with plus-or-minus four per cent accuracy and a tightening speed as high as ten revolutions per minute. These series is perfect for many field operations, with no pumps, compressors, or any other heavy tools needed. Another major advantage of these tools is process control, through CPLinQ, which saves extra time in every application, minimizes errors, and reinforces general quality standards.

Each nutrunner in this series has a sound pressure of 70 dB(A) and a vibration of less than 2½ metres per second squared, while weights go from five to 14 kilograms. All four CP86 models are standalone, and the CP8681 does not provide connected maintenance.
