Power cords are the lifeline of electrical products. If the cord is damaged, the product can't get power. To prevent this from happening, Cords Canada can supply Lockit strain relief bushings.
Lockit strain reliefs will absorb push and pull forces to protect flexible power cords. To deal with twisting forces, they have a rectangular design that prevents any possibility of part rotation. In addition to this protection, Lockit strain reliefs offer a neat, clean appearance. They are moulded from nylon 6/6 that is UL and CSA approved.
Lockit features
These strain reliefs can self-lock on the cable, independent of insertion into the panel. In fact, the stress reliefs hold so securely that they pass UL pull-out tests even without panel support. This feature enables the strain reliefs to be assembled offline, so they are prepared for final assembly with a lower installed cost. As a result, they are ideal for applications in the field.
Versatile solution
Lockit strain reliefs can be used with a wide range of panel thicknesses. They have a three finger design that anchors securely into panels ranging from 0.032 to 0.157 inches. In addition, the RDD Round Wire Lockit and the RDD Flat Wire Lockit are available for installation in standard round or double āDā holes. To increase assembly speed and lower costs, automated application equipment is available for these strain reliefs.
Cords Canada can also supply Lockit labkits that include an assortment of strain relief bushings. These kits are ideal for prototype work, design departments and experimental labs.
