Cords Canada supplies a wide variety of products to the Canadian industrial marketplace. The Toronto-based company’s offerings include caps, plugs, glides and protectors of many types.

The large variety of vinyl-dipped caps and protectors available include short or long caps, rectangular closures and flange covers, to name just a few. Some of the available products include:

Flange covers

Cords Canada supplies vinyl ASA (American Standard Association) flange covers that are tough and resilient. They are used to protect critical flange faces and will reliably prevent interior damage or contamination. They fit most ASA, Navy and Military sizes. These flange covers also work with most types of tubing, including Marman, flared and beaded.

In addition, FC-series covers from Cords Canada can be used on flanges and joints. These covers are flexible, yet tough.

Pipe thread protectors

The company can supply both open and closed end protectors. They are designed to completely cover the threading of a conduit pipe. Caps with smooth sides work well with automatic vibrating feeders. They use an internal bead to stay secure. Cords Canada supplies these protectors to many major producers of steel, iron and aluminum pipe. The protection they offer ensures damage-free shipping.

Also available are threaded caps that provide an excellent seal. They are often used during painting and plating operations.

Masking products

Cords Canada also offers masking products, such as finishing discs and silicone tape. Finishing discs are available in three varieties: painting discs, plating discs and powder coating discs. Painting discs are made from heat-resistant crepe paper with an adhesive backing. These discs ensure a clean paint line with no creeping under the disc’s edges. The adhesive is formulated to leave no residue or stain after the disc is removed. Plating discs are designed to resist curling and shrinking, while powder coating discs are able to withstand higher temperatures (up to one hour at 218 degrees C or 425 degrees F).

These are just a handful of the many products included in the company’s caps, plugs, glides and protectors category. For more information on the range of protective products available from Cords Canada, visit the company’s website.
