Albin manufactures the COR-TUFF with a high-density polyethylene housing that can withstand exposure to the most aggressive chemicals and hostile chemical environments. York Fluid Controls highly recommends these peristaltic hose pumps for municipal and industrial applications, such as pumping wastewater-treatment chemicals like hypo and bisulphate. COR-TUFF pumps also have Nytralon rollers and high phosphorus electro-less nickel-coated roller assemblies for extra resistance against the most corrosive materials businesses may face.

Other key features of this corrosion resistant pump include the following: inline helical gear reduction, for low revolution-per-minute (RPM) selection; a seal-less design; and a broad selection of hose materials, to meet the need of any application. Three versions of the COR-TUFF are available, each with a different level of gallons per revolution (gal/rev). At 0.0043 gal/rev, the COR-TUFF09 can pump at a maximum of 40 pounds per square inch (PSI) at a pump speed of 140 RPM and a fixed speed of ¼ horsepower. The COR-TUFF13 works at 0.011 gal/rev and pumps at a maximum of 40 PSI at a fixed speed of 1/3 horsepower and the same pump speed, while the COR-TUFF17 works at 0.0285 gal/rev and pumps at a maximum of 40 PSI at a fixed speed of ½ horsepower and the same pump speed.
