CoolPAK coolants by Master Fluid Solutions now available in Canada

Rotem Industrial Products is Canada’s preferred source for products by Master Fluid Solutions, a veteran maker of cutting-edge metalworking fluids in Pettysburg, OH. This year, the manufacturer’s CoolPAK line of coolants and other fluids became available in Canada for the first time – promising high-quality coolant action at an economical price.

The CoolPAK group is intended for metalworking shops that do not necessarily need premium-quality fluids or aerospace certification, both of which can increase the cost. This gives CoolPAK an advantage over Master Fluid Solutions’ popular TRIM line of coolants in non-aerospace applications.

A variety of products available

Previously available only in the United States, the CoolPAK line includes the following products:

• Four synthetic fluids – CoolPAK C1278, C2000, C2000bd, and C2640;
• CoolPAK S5406, a semi-synthetic fluids;
• Two straight oils – L3250 and 3275; and
• R3650, a corrosion inhibitor.

The CoolPAK S5406 is a heavy-duty coolant that has been optimized for high-volume production environments. Highly recommended for cooling and mechanical lubricity, this product extends sump life, reduces oil mist and residues, and prevents corrosion on both ferrous and nonferrous metals. With no nitrites, triazines, phenols, or sulfurized EP additives, S5406 is compatible with aluminum, copper alloys, cast iron, steel, stainless steel, and many plastics and composites; it runs clean and is stable in hard-water environments. It employs standard metalworking recycling and disposal techniques as well.

For emulsion purposes, Master Fluid Solutions also offers the CoolPAK COMSOL IIQF and COMSOL IIC3. The IIQF provides highly lubricious, formaldehyde-free emulsion with good lubricity and anti-corrosion protection aluminum and soft gummy material, as well as rust protection for ferrous metals like copper parts. The IIC3 is designed for alloy wheel machining, reducing built-up edges on both roughing and finishing lines; it leaves a film that protects aluminum against scratches from stringy chips.
