Designed for optimum reliability

The Continental portfolio offers a complete range of options for conveyor covers. Examples include specialized mounting brackets for special types of conveyor structures, extended sides for enclosing return belt runs, and nonstandard support band centres and hood profiles that can accommodate either vertical or horizontal curves.

Each one of these units has been designed to offer optimum reliability. For example, Continental’s lines of support bands and hoods are produced out of G90 galvanized material for added durability; these are also available in stainless steel or aluminum construction. The support bands are made with correctly positioned holes for the mounting of eye bolts for safety pull cords, while three-quarter hoods enable fast viewing of the belt from one side. There is a tight fit between the bottom edge of the hood and the support band for extra protection. The open position brackets keep the hoods in place as they access each conveyor, and the wide support bands stop gaps and improve the weather seals.

Continental conveyor covers have a unique design that stops all water ingress into their reinforced edges, which lowers the chances of corrosion. The company’s design for these units also has a symmetrical aspect that allows simple placement on structure, quick installation, and safe access to both belt sides.
