Sugatsune offers a wide range of hinges.

ATMs, registers, and commercial automation equipment require specific hardware components to accommodate movement and security.

It’s all about the torque.

We’re not talking about car-engine horsepower and torque here, but torque that determines the force required to rotate a door, lid, or screen along its axis and retaining that angle and position even when an additional force, such as weight, is applied. Read the specifics here.

Our newest torque hinge is a piano type: HG-TLS30-50-300. It has a free-stop feature for controlled movement of housings and doors in industrial equipment.

The HG-TA series of free-stop hinges, with friction torque and opening angle of up to 140 degrees, is ideal for monitors and displays. A fine detail of a 9.5-mm (3/8″) or 13-mm (½”) lip, depending type, on either side encases monitors or displays. Similarly, the HG-TA45H series is available with a hole in the knuckle hinge for the management of cable wire, and it has passed 50,000 open-and-close cycle tests for durability.

The HG-TQW8080 is a bi-directional, one-way torque hinge with a higher torque capacity for heavier equipment and workstation monitors. Its operation range is up to 180 degrees with a temperature of up to 104 degrees Fahrenheit (40 degrees Celsius). The advantage of this torque hinge is that initially, it generates torque in the downward direction, then past 90 degrees of opening, the torque direction reverses, allowing the flap to smoothly hold in position at all angles of 180 degrees.

Lock on.

For bypass sliding doors, the 2300M/2400M series of push locks offers a unique locking feature with a high-security dimple key. To lock: turn the key 90 degrees to the right, push in, then turn the key 90 degrees to the left and remove. Made of brass, zinc alloy, and 304 stainless steel, this push lock is surface-mounted to the back of the door, with a counter plate mounted on the front face of the back door. There is a master key system and up to 2,520 key changes available per master key, for a total of one million key changes.

The SN-711-8 sheet metal cam lock has a brass cylinder cam lock, for its anti-corrosive properties, that can rotate to 90 degrees. The high-security dimple key is removable only in the locked position for secure closing of enclosures and equipment with sheet metal thickness of 0.1 to nine mm. There are up to 1,500 key changes available.

Slide open.

With options for ¾-to-full extension drawer slides to two-way linear and mini-slides, review this chapter for your slide needs. With various load-bearing, material, and travel distances, control movement for drawers or compartments in automation equipment.
