Parker's CDAS HL Clean Dry Air System, available in Canada through Filtramax

Wainbee Limited supplies an unmatched variety of industrial filtration solutions through its Filtramax division. The lineup includes two types of clean air systems manufactured by Parker. These systems create clean, dry air that not only boosts production efficiency, but also reduces maintenance expenses and downtime substantially. With the CDAS HL Clean Dry Air System or the OFAS HL Oil Free Air System, businesses get the highest level of clean and dry compressed air with validated performance.

Easy and flexible installation

CDAS systems offer clean, dry compressed air that complies with all editions of ISO 8573-1, which is the international standard for compressed-air quality. These clean air systems are energy-efficient and can provide pressure dew points of -70, -40, or 20 degrees Celsius, with flow rates of up to 300 cubic metres per hour at seven barg.

With its energy-saving technology, the CDAS automatically adapts dryer operation to the ambient inlet conditions and demand for compressed air. The result is lower maintenance and energy expenses reduced by as much as 85 per cent. Notable features include the following:

  • Power and fault indication;
  • Dryer and filter service indicators;
  • Dew-point display;
  • Fault relay: power, dew-point alarm, and sensor failure; and
  • 4-12mA dew-point re-transmission.

The OFAS system is designed to eliminate issues with compressed-air contamination. Its fully integrated, heatless compressed-air dryer and filtration packages suit any compressor type, and users can install it in the compressor room or at the point of use. The OFAS also has a third adsorbent column for oil-vapour removal. Parker has had these systems third-party validated to provide ISO 8573-1 Class 0, with respect to total oil from oil-lubricated and oil-free compressors; this results in the highest-quality air in critical applications.

Both of these clean air systems from Wainbee offer easy, flexible installation, dry air with no corrosion, and control of microbiological growth. To meet the quoted air-purity performance, Parker recommends sizing a compressed-air dryer correctly for minimum operating pressure, as well as maximum inlet temperature and inlet flow rate according to correction factors that Filtramax can provide.
