York Fluid Controls supplies Q-Pumps products.

York Fluid Controls partners with numerous great manufacturers to supply top pump products – like Q-Pumps, which makes the QP series of circumferential piston pumps. These pumps stand out for being 100 per cent dimensionally and hydraulically interchangeable with other market brands, especially with Waukesha and Ampco makes.

Another key benefit of the QP series is that each pump comes Standard with a 304 stainless steel gearbox, with no increase in price.

High resistance to damage

The steel gearboxes make these circumferential piston pumps more resistant to damage than standard cast-iron gearboxes do. Among the other notable features of this line: 3A and EHEDG certification; 304 stainless steel seals; helical gears; grease fittings on both sides; solid 17-4 pH stainless steel shafts; antimicrobial lubricant; non-galling alloy 88 rotors; six threaded oil plugs with glass peepholes; self-cleaning packages in the plugs; and flexibility for four mounting positions.

Each pump in the QP series is capable of a pressure of 500 pounds per square inch, a viscosity of one million counts per second, and a capacity of 1,173 litres per minute; in addition, these circumferential piston pumps can withstand temperatures as high as 150 degrees Celsius.

There are three models of this series available from York Fluid Controls. Representing overall improvements to the QP lineup, the QP1+ model facilitates maintenance and saves time and money; this pump is designed with O-rings on the front, and users can change these O-rings without going to the trouble of disconnecting the pump from the system. The sleeve in one piece seals the unit when the rotors are removed for cleaning in place. Maintenance is easier and downtime minimized due to the low number of parts, resulting in high savings.

The QP2 design includes a stainless steel gear case that allows CIP-ability with enclosed rotor nuts, plus large, 17-4ph stainless steel shafts to handle high pressures. Q-Pumps designs this model for cleaning in place. The QP3 is the latest design available, and it has a new rotor case design for high efficiency and a patented front-loading seal for simpler maintenance.
