sound level meters

KIMO makes three kinds of sound level meters, available from Chevrier.

KIMO Canada is trusted across the country for the highest quality in instruments for measuring and monitoring air parameters – including three models of sound level meters. Available in Canada from Chevrier Instruments, these meters are suitable for many common applications, including taking sound levels and frequency analysis in real time.

Sound level meters by KIMO are easy to use, reliable, and built in accordance with all relevant meteorology requirements.

Three different meter designs

Applications for which these meters come in handy include conformity checks, process monitoring, and checking the noise levels of machines and workstations. Chevrier distributes three different designs of KIMO sound level meters, measuring sound in decibels (dB), which are as follows:

  • DB 100. Recommended for automatic checks of sound levels, the DB 100 can also measure sound pressure and time-averaged or equal continuous sound-pressure levels, as well as sound pressure according to fast and slow weighting times. Useful for stable or fluctuating sound sources.
  • DB 200. Able to integrate averaging and data storage, this meter has five different measurement modes: the first is for simple sound-level measurement; the second is capable of data storage; the third is for integrating-averaging as well as measuring sound levels; the fourth enables integrating-averaging with information storage; and the fifth mode is for measuring sound levels from two different sources at once. Comes with software for displaying information and printing data reports. Capable of recording minimums, maximums, and peak values.
  • DB 300. Compliant with the most recent international standards, the DB 300 is an integrating averaging sound level meter that can measure average sound levels, peak pressure levels, and equivalent continuous levels. With a dynamic measurement range of 20 to 137 dB, these sound level meters have real-time analyzers by octave bands for analyzing frequencies, some models ranging from 16 hertz to 16 kilohertz, others from 31.5 hertz to eight kilohertz. Another feature is the ability to display values and graphic representations of noise-ratio comfort factors.

KIMO sound level meters come with batteries, transport cases, windshields, calibration certificates, USB transfer cables, and LDB200 software.
