Capitol’s MagSecur magnetic technology expands the capabilities of locks

The internal workings of the MagSecur technology

The MagSecur technology provides hundreds of thousands of locking combinations by using Neodymium magnets to drive multiple locking components inside locks and devices into unlocking configurations. Imbued into several Capitol magnetic locking products, MagSecur serves as the basis for creating customized locking mechanisms that are specifically designed to overcome the disadvantages of conventional keyed locking methods. Because there is no keyhole to access the lock’s internal mechanism, which is hermetically sealed to prevent condensation from entering and interfering with the components, Capitol can use this magnetic technology to design systems that are safe from picking, freezing, seizure, and vandalism. Capitol can integrate MagSecur into any application that requires these features.

Now available for integration into any Capitol products, the MagSecur magnetic technology can be used for fastening, securing, and virtually any other application required by market needs. It has a broad range of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) applications and covers a variety of markets.

Capitol’s magnetic cam locks, and other products that use the technology, can be integrated seamlessly into other products at a basic level; the company can also make modifications to an existing assembly or custom-design a new one that meets the customer’s specific needs more appropriately.
