The SINEAX SI 815 signal isolator

Mod-Tronic Instruments Ltd. is a major source of test and measurement instrumentation by well-reputed manufacturers, including Camille Bauer Metrawatt AG. For more than three-quarters of a century, Camille Bauer has excelled in innovative products with optimum energy management – including an impressive portfolio of signal conditioners, isolators, and splitters. Many of these products are designed and manufactured under the SINEAX brand, known for high reliability. This includes four models of industrial signal isolators.

Devices with minimal energy consumption

A signal isolator is an electric device used to remove earth loop errors caused by noise and signal-interference issues. The device uses several electronic methods to interrupt grounds connections while passing accurate, exact signals. Business all over the world trust the SINEAX brand for their minimal energy consumption. Camille Bauer’s four types of industrial signal isolators are as follows:

  • TI 816 (500 volts) – Loop-powered passive devices that are inexpensively priced. Each unit measures 12½ millimetres wide and has a maximum burden of 600 ohms for current and 500 ohms for voltage. Available with volt or mA output. Input of 0-20 or 4-20 mA; output of 0-20 or 4-20 mA and zero to ten or two to ten volts.
  • DCM 817 (500 volts) – These industrial signal isolators are compact, cost-effective solutions for original equipment manufacturers. Each is circuit-board-mounted, loop-powered passive device with a 600-ohm maximum burden. Input and output are both 4-20 mA.
  • SI 815 (2,300 volts) – The SI 815 series consists of output loop-powered devices (12 to 30 volts) that can transfer power to input loops. They are available in both single- and multi-channel versions, with optional FSK/Hart protocol. Input and output are both 0-20 or 4-20 mA.
  • TI 807 (4,000 volts) – This loop-powered passive device is available in versions with one, two, or three channels. The maximum burden is 1,000 ohms. Input of 0-20 or 4-20 mA; output of 0-20 or 4-20 mA and zero to ten volts.

In addition to signal isolators, Mod-Tronic carries SINEAX signal conditioners, splitters, amplifiers, loop power packs, and transmitters by Camille Bauer.
