Daemar components

Essential components for industry: Daemar's specialty.

Daemar Inc. has been trusted by manufacturers and other businesses across the country for essential components for industry for 48 years. A variety of major industries in Canada rely on Daemar components for top performance, including agriculture, construction, food processing, forestry, oil and gas, and even the green energy sector.

This reputation has resulted from almost half a century of growth and expansion, from a small distribution company to a leading industrial supplier.

New branches in Edmonton, Vancouver

It was on the first day of 1973 when a new distribution firm, Cartec, was launched in Oakville, Ont., west of Toronto. This company began with only three product lines: Waldes retaining rings, Seeger metric rings, and Devan keysteel. But Cartec expanded its portfolio over the following seven years with such products as Cleveland hardware, KMC stampings, Standard steel, and GACO oil seals.

Cartec had a breakthrough year in 1980. That was when the company opened a sales and warehouse facility in Edmonton. Only four years later, it launched another branch in the Vancouver area and changed its name to Daemar – Distribution Engineered Marketing.

In 1986, Daemar was appointed as the exclusive Canadian distributor for Kalrez and Rotor Clip – and it also opened another sales and warehouse facility in Montreal. Within the next few years, the range of Daemar components increased even further when the company was picked as the master distributor for Caplugs in Canada, while adding mechanical seals to its liquid-sealing inventory.

The company launched its website in 1996, bringing Daemar components into the digital era, and four years later, Daemar opened its first United States sales office and warehouse facility in Georgia, making the launch of Daemar Inc. U.S.A. In 2010, the company launched an online catalogue, and in 2012, it expanded its inventory further with disc springs. Daemar also doubles the sizes of its Edmonton warehouse in 2007 and its Montreal plant in 2015.

Daemar’s headquarters are still located in Oakville – but the company keeps on expanding as it retains its international status as the leading supplier for industrial components.
