Durham Instruments supplies numerous measurement solutions by Brüel & Kjær (BK), like the LAN-XI Light Type 3676 data acquisition module. This is a tough input module that captures time data from as many as four modules. The device is perfect for use with BK Connect Applets tools for specific tasks, and it can serve as a portable remote recorder when used together with a battery module. This device is designed to cover a broad variety of sound and vibration real-time analysis applications.
Recording under challenging conditions
Among the use scenarios for which the LAN-XI Light Type 3676 is recommended: any general sound/vibration recording and analysis, including troubleshooting, in which a single, four-channel module is sufficient; production quality testing of consumer goods, like quick pass/fail measurements according to a tolerance curve; noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) recording under challenging conditions, such as on a motorcycle on a vehicle test track; and battery-operated recording in the field, like traffic noise.
Operators can use the buttons and LCD screen on this data acquisition module for control and feedback, and the LED rings around each channel use colour to indicate status. The LCD screen also shows available memory and overload displays. The unit is powered by battery, mains, external DC, or power over Ethernet (PoE). Capabilities include the following:
- automatically configuring transducer conditioning when using transducers with TEDS;
- remote setup by built-in home page with any computer, tablet, or Smartphone;
- transferring information and PoE over LAN connection; and
- swapping of seven-hour battery in the field.
This data acquisition module offers quality, durability, and reliability for low-channel-count measurement setups, and its rugged design makes it ideal for use in both the field and laboratories. The analog input channels cover signals with frequencies from DC to 25 kilohertz, which is perfect for numerous NVH tasks.
The LAN-XI Light Type 3676 is a versatile device that works in many industries. Durham Instruments deems it suitable for general manufacturing, aerospace, automation, food processing, forestry, the medical field, the military, mining, packaging, power generation, alternative energy, transportation, and research and development.
