The MP MaxiPass spray nozzle by BETE

John Brooks Company Limited supplies numerous product options by BETE, especially spray nozzles. This includes two models of the MaxiPass: the MP MaxiPass full-cone nozzle, and the MPL MaxiPass axial nozzle. Both solutions offer the ultimate clog-resistant design, with the largest free passage available in a full-cone nozzle.

Both of these spray nozzles are recommended for cooling and quenching applications, although the MPL MaxiPass achieves wider spray angles.

Two S-shaped internal vanes

The MP and MPL MaxiPass each have two unique S-shaped internal vanes, as opposed to standard X-style vanes, which enables maximum free passage of particles. Other advantages of the MaxiPass line from John Brooks Company include high energy efficiency and high-reliability spray performance in challenging environments. The MP MaxiPass easily handles dirty, lumpy fluids, while the MPL MaxiPass is proficient with dirty and contaminated liquids with no filtration system. Atomization is achieved by having the water spin inside the nozzle and then exit an orifice. Both models produce a medium-to-coarse droplet size, in a more uniform pattern than spiral nozzles create.

The MP MaxiPass works with male and female connections, and flanged connections are available. This nozzle has a full-cone spray pattern, but square patterns are accessible via special order. Standard design pressure is 20 pounds per square inch (psi), and spray-pattern data varies with pressure; increasing pressure affects the spray angle of wide- and medium-angle whirl nozzles. Available spray angles range from 30 to 120 degrees, with flow rates from 0.697 to 1,520 gallons per minute (gpm).

An energy-efficient nozzle, the MPL MaxiPass represents the ultimate clog-resistant design with the most significant free passage. A key benefit of this nozzle is long service life, with a robust, reliable construction with vanes locking in place. The vanes are made from 316 stainless steel for maximum wear and corrosion resistance. This nozzle works only with male connections. It offers a full-cone spray pattern and a design pressure of 40 psi; again, spray-pattern data varies with pressure. Spray angles run from 50 to 134 degrees; flow rates go from 0.0859 to 3.02 gpm.
