A wide selection of miniature cables is available.

Solutions for all sorts of industrial cable needs are available from Bergen Cable. These include standard cable assemblies lanyards, Safety Cable, Lock Clad cable, and more. The wide range also includes two types of miniature cables, Microlin and Posilign, both of which are made for tasks involving confined spaces. Bergen miniature cables are also recommended for medical devices, electronics, aircraft interiors, and other critical applications in which reliability is vital.

High flexibility, durability, corrosion resistance

Confined spaces can work only with cables that offer high flexibility, durability, and corrosion resistance. These small cables from Bergen are the perfect option. Of the two models available, Microlin cable is designed with diameters going from 0.01 to 0.048 inches, and it has breaking strengths of up to almost 80 kilograms. This cable type is available either bare or with a nylon jacket for extra durability. The miniature diameters and materials allow the user to route the cable easily around bulkheads and obstructions, with no risk of the cable losing any of its flexibility or fatigue resistance.

Bergen offers a complete lineup of off-the-shelf fittings for Microlin assemblies as well as the cable type itself. Among the options are threaded fittings, eye fittings, ball fittings, plug fittings (hex swage), and loop sleeve fittings. For certain eye fittings, zinc or passivate finishing is available. Most of these fittings are constructed out of stainless steel, although a few are made out of brass.

Posilign miniature cables offer benefits similar to those of the Microlin design, but on top of that, they allow for minimal elongations when under load by eliminating constructional stretch. Removing this stretch allows the cable to enable more accurate adjustment and minimal secondary adjustment to cable assemblies. Some sizes come with clear or blue nylon jackets. The maximum working loads go from 3.8 to 38 pounds, while minimum breaking strengths range from 19 to 175 pounds.

Both the Microlin and Posilign designs of miniature cables are available in various sizes, with different weights, working loads, and pulley diameters. Bergen’s product diversity allows clients to choose many different solutions.
