Many types of miniature cable are available.

Customers in manufacturing get to choose from all kinds of industrial cable solutions from Bergen Cable. Examples include standard cable assemblies, lanyards, Safety™ Cable, and Lock Clad Cable. This broad lineup also includes miniature cables, Microlin™ and Posilign™, both designed for applications in confined spaces.

Bergen miniature cables are ideal for robotics, medical devices, electronics, aircraft interiors, and other use cases in which mechanical reliability is crucial.

No loss of flexibility

Confined-space-use cases often work only with a cable that provides high flexibility, durability, and corrosion resistance. These miniature cables from Bergen are the ideal choice. Of the two models available, Microlin™ cable is made with diameters ranging from 0.01 to 0.048 inches, and it has breaking strengths of up to nearly 80 kilograms. Microlin™ cable is available either bare or with a nylon jacket for added durability. The miniature materials and sizes allow the users to route the cable easily around bulkheads and obstructions without any risk of the cable losing any of its flexibility or fatigue resistance.

A full lineup of off-the-shelf fittings for Microlin™ assemblies is available, as is the cable type. The options include threaded, eye, ball, plug (hex swage), and loop sleeve fittings. Most of these fittings are made of stainless steel, although a few of them are constructed out of brass.

Posilign™ miniature cables provide the benefits of the Microlin™ design, but in addition, they allow for minimal elongations when under load by eliminating constructional stretch. Removing this stretch enables the cable to adjust more accurately and minimal secondary adjustment to cable assemblies. Some sizes are available with clear or blue nylon jackets. The maximum working loads run from 3.8 to 38 pounds, while minimum breaking strengths go from 19 to 175 pounds.

Bergen carries the Microlin™ and Posilign™ designs of miniature cables in various sizes, weights, working loads, and diameters. The company’s product diversity provides many different solutions for its customers that benefit from the choice of materials, high strength, tight tolerances, and a wide range of fittings.
