Cable assemblies used in medical applications require an exceptional level of reliability and precision. Lives can depend on the performance of these critical components, so top quality design and manufacturing are essential. To meet this need, Bergen Cable Technology offers Microlin brand miniature control cables

Microlin in medical applications

Microlin cables, renowned for both flexibility and strength, have been used in a variety of OEM applications for more than 30 years. These cables feature high resistance to fatigue, so they offer reliability. They have breaking strengths up to 175 pounds, but are also small enough to fit in the tight spaces involved with medical applications. The cables are available in sizes from .010 inches to .048 inches.

Bergen Cable Technology has experience with safety critical applications outside of the medical field, as it often develops components for the military and aerospace industries. The company drew on this experience when working to reduce liability concerns for X-ray and MRI equipment.

Other miniature cable products

Bergen Cable Technology can also provide Posilign miniature cables that avoid the need for proof load testing. This cable practically eliminates constructional stretch, as well as secondary adjustment. To create complete cable assemblies, Bergen Cable Technology can custom engineer a variety of fittings for Microlin and Posilign cables. Some of the miniature fittings typically used by customers include eye, plug, loop sleeve, ball, and threaded end.

Bergen Cable Technology expertise

Bergen Cable Technology has been in operation for more 60 years. It has experience making cable assemblies for a variety of applications, including aerospace, aircraft controls, military, transport and robotics.
