Bergen Cable has more than three-quarters of a century’s worth of experience in supplying the best, strongest cable products for a variety of industries, especially the aerospace sector. This diversity of products ensures customers that they can turn to Bergen for cable to suit virtually any work application.
Two types of steel
Because different workplace applications require different levels of strength, abrasion, and corrosion resistance, Bergen Cable offers cable made out of various materials. The two main materials are stainless steel and galvanized carbon steel.

The most common type that Bergen uses is type 302, which is 18 per cent chromium and eight per cent nickel alloy; many users prefer this type of steel for its high strength and corrosion resistance. Type 305 is useful for non-magnetic properties.
For applications that require high strength, but less corrosion resistance, galvanized carbon steel is recommended. It is cheaper than stainless steel, and the zinc coating protects the cable from corrosive elements.
