industrial miniature cables

Miniature cables are ideal for many critical applications.

Whatever kind of cable solution a business needs, Bergen Cable has it: lanyards, Safety Cable, Lock Clad cable, and more. Its inventory includes two models of industrial miniature cables. These cables are primarily designed for applications that involve confined spaces, which require optimal flexibility, durability, and corrosion resistance. Bergen Cable also recommends these products for medical devices, electronics, aircraft interiors, and other critical applications in which reliability is vital.

Variety of designs and sizes

Bergen Cable supplies two distinct types of industrial miniature cables – Microlin and Posilign. Microlin cable is built in diameters from 0.01 to 0.048 inches and has breaking strengths of up to nearly 80 kilograms. This model of cable is available either bare or with a nylon jacket, which improves durability. The miniature diameters and materials allow the user to route the cable easily around bulkheads and obstructions, without any risk of the cable ever losing its high flexibility or its fatigue resistance.

In addition to Microlin cable, Bergen Cable also offers a complete line of off-the-shelf fittings for Microlin assemblies. Examples include threaded fittings, eye fittings, ball fittings, plug fittings (hex swage), and loop sleeve fittings. Some eye fittings are available with zinc or passivate finishing. Most of the fittings are made of stainless steel, with a few constructed of brass.

While Posilign cable offers similar benefits to those of the Microlin design, it allows for minimal elongations while under load by eliminating constructional stretch. Removing this stretch helps with more accurate adjustment and minimal secondary adjustment to cable assemblies. Some sizes come with blue or clear nylon jackets. Minimum breaking strengths go from 19 to 175 pounds, while maximum working loads run from 3.8 to 38 pounds.

Both Microlin and Posilign industrial miniature cables are available from Bergen in various sizes, with different weights, working loads, and pulley diameters. The diversity of products available allows Bergen Cable to give customers virtually any solution they want.
