Benefits are clear for new high pressure clear PVC pipe

The high pressure clear PVC pipe allows users to specify Schedule 40 clear pipe for applications where previously only Schedule 80 clear pipe would suffice. Clear-Guard’s high pressure formulation, with a long-term hydrostatic design basis of 3,150 psi, allows for better clarity and more versatility for various applications, the company says.

IPEX Clear-Guard is available in sizes ranging from ½-inch to eight-inch Schedule 40 pipe, as well as standard 10-foot lengths (though 20-foot lengths are available by special order). Certified to NSF-61, the pipe is produced from a rigid, virgin Polyvinyl Chloride compound, which enables it to operate in temperatures up to 140 degrees F.
