The Hytrol 25-PVR Poly-V Belt-Driven Live Roller conveyor, available from Norpak Handling

Norpak Handling remains a proud Integration Partner with Hytrol Conveyor Company, distributing the manufacturer’s innovative and reliable conveyor products and accessories to companies across Canada. One of Hytrol’s newer developments in this field is its 25-PVR Poly-V Belt-Driven Live Roller conveyor, highly recommended for moving heavier items.

What makes the Hytrol 25-PVR stand out is its heavy design, which enables it to convey higher load capacities, like loaded pallets or drums. In this way, this live roller can move heavier parts where no maintenance or a quieter conveyor is needed.

Constant and variable conveying speeds

The 25-PVR Poly-V Belt-Driven Live Roller conveyor can move high load capacities at a speed of 30 feet per minute, although other constant and variable speeds are available (with different capacity limits). Its main features include a shaft mounted drive to the side of the bed section, Poly-V belt-driven rollers, 15 bed widths, and reversibility.

The roller bed has unplated tread rollers, 2½ inches in diameter by 11 ga., spaced every three, four, or six inches and mounted in a powder-painted formed steel channels on both sides. The top and bottom of the channel frame have formed steel upper and lower guards to enclose drive belts completely. Other features include: sealed, pre-lubricated ball bearings; a one-horsepower gear motor; and maximum load capacity of 300 pounds per linear foot with supports on ten-foot centres, or 1,000 pounds with supports of five-foot centres (total load of 3,000 pounds). The maximum conveyor length is ten feet per drive.

The 25-PVR from Norpak can be used with various kinds of optional equipment, including:

  • HSN-type floor supports with a range of adjustment, for top or roller elevation, and with holes in the feet for lagging to the floor. One support per bend joint and conveyor end is required. Knee braces are recommended above HSN-3 support;
  • Fixed-angle guard rails to top flange of the channels opposite from the guards;
  • Structural channel end stops, measuring six inches and 8.2 pounds;
  • Chain transfers;
  • Other types of motors; and
  • Push-button electrical controls.
