Rust-Oleum carries Varathane Bar & Table Finish

Varathane wood-finishing products are available from Rust-Oleum Canada, including Bar & Table Finish. Offered in clear and tinted variations, this ultra-thick, high-gloss epoxy offers top durability for interior use. While recommended for crafts and refinishing furniture, Bar & Table is especially perfect for table and bar tops.

Bar & Table Finish is not just waterproof; it also resists heat and chemicals, and one coat is as thick as 75 coats of varnish.

Usable over almost any surface

Both versions of this solution are usable over almost any surface, from rough and unfinished to painted or smooth. Both the clear and tinted versions of Bar & Table Finish are available from Rust-Oleum in a 946-millilitre size, although the clear finish also comes in a 1.89-litre container.

Varathane Bar & Table is a pour-on epoxy, offers exceptional durability for indoor projects only and should not to be used on wooden floors. For the tinted version, customers can choose between a classic grey kit and a metallic blue kit.

To apply Varathane Bar & Table, the user requires the following tools: three plastic or unwaxed paper containers with clear volume measurements; smooth walls and flat bottom; three stir sticks; plastic spreader or squeegee; disposable paint brush; waxed paper, newspaper or plastic drop cloth; masking tape, latex, vinyl, or chemical-resistant safety gloves; a plastic drop cloth; and eye protection.

Varathane recommends applying Bar & Table Finish with the project surface, material, and room temperature all between 21 and 32 degrees Celsius and humidity below 85 per cent. If needed, use a blow-dryer to remove air bubbles that may form on surfaces. If one is applying Bar & Table over a previous finish, a small application should be tested in an inconspicuous area to confirm compatibility with this product. After applying keep the project free of dust and debris for at least eight hours, our product is fully cured after 72 hours.
