Tsubaki asphalt chains are perfect for pacing season.

Tsubaki of Canada has a chain solution for any situation. Take road-paving season. Equipment must always perform at peak ability, so every component must be engineered for asphalt operations to handle hard aggregates, shock loads, high temperatures, and constant operation. Enter Tsubaki’s line of asphalt sprockets and chains.

These products are constructed to withstand the challenging conditions of paving applications, and they offer major advantages.

Strong and long-lasting chains

Customers know these are the strongest, longest-lasting asphalt chains available. One example: incline conveyor chains with pitches of four and six inches and with K-style or slotted M-style attachments. The sidebars are through-hardened to withstand high-impact loads for maximum strength, and the rollers are heat-treated specifically to resist abrasion in harsh environments.

These asphalt chains are constructed with tight press fit, high strength, precise pitch control, and other major advantages. Other reasons why paving companies trust in Tsubaki asphalt chains: high quality; long-lasting operations; reliable performance, even with high shock loads; durable operation in rough working environments; and little downtime with few unplanned stops.

In addition to these chains, Tsubaki specializes in asphalt incline conveyor sprockets and related parts for paving applications. These asphalt sprockets are constructed out of the finest materials and heat-treated for protection, and they come in the following models:

  • Hub body – These asphalt sprockets have a solid construction that increases operational strength. They are easy to mount to standard shafting and available in a split style for easy replacement.
  • Return support rollers – For supporting the chain weight on the conveyor return side, with the rollers machined to fit the exact profile of the chain.
  • Scraper flights – Tsubaki manufactures and assembles these in its own plant.
  • Segmental rim sprockets – These sprockets withstand extreme abrasion and keep operations going with minimal downtime. The Tsubaki team makes segmental rim sprockets out of high-quality 1045 steel with minimum 50-HRC tooth hardness.
  • Unified sprockets – For easy replacement of the worn portions of sprockets.

Asphalt sprockets work best when fitted with Tsubaki’s Smart Tooth solution, to track wear and thereby extend chain life.
