angle nut runners

Dobco carries Cleco angle nut runners.

Dobco Equipment Ltd. carries a variety of pneumatic assembly tools manufactured by Cleco Tools. This includes several models of angle nut runners, most of which users can equip with a wide range of drive options, which allows them to adjust tools to accommodate unique applications more effectively. The Cleco 75 series of these nut runners includes a lever start, and it is available in both reversible and non-reversible models.

Planetary gears for speed changes

The 75 series of nut runners from Cleco offers a torque range from 75 to 430 nanometres, and its features include external torque adjustment, a rotating exhaust deflector, and two sizes of square drives – ½ an inch or ¾ of an inch. This series comprises both stall and clutch nut runners.

Stall nut runners are recommended for applications that have changing torque rates, since they have stall-type torque control; this gives users more control over speed and power output. This configuration allows the angle nut runners to run until resistance in the fasteners causes them to stall. Then the user releases the throttle and removes the tool. Reversible Clecomatic clutch nut runners allow operators to control torque accurately without losing any speed; when the desired torque level is entered, the clutch automatically shuts off when it reaches that torque.

Both of these types of tools have planetary gears, built for speed changes with minimal part service and replacement, in addition to heavy-duty spindle bearings and splined retractable spindles that decrease friction, boost torque repeatability, and extend life. Both stall and clutch tools function with heavy-duty Cleco motors, which is the industry standard for reliability. Stall angle nut runners are engineered for top performance, durability, mounting versatility, and serviceability. The Durable Clecomatic Clutch offers high torque repeatability and a lengthy calibration cycle.

Fourteen designs are available in the 75 series from Dobco. Free speed ranges from 80 to 480 revolutions a minute, length ranges from 486 to 575 millimetres; weight goes from 3.3 to 6.8 kilograms, and each has an air consumption of 55 or 70 standard cubic feet per minute.
